Information on preparing a factual, confidential report; the unmasked.info reporting channel is in development.

Reporting channel under development

There is currently no unmasked.info upload or anonymous submission channel. Do not send confidential documents through an ordinary contact form or email in expectation of anonymity.

A useful report starts with a verifiable observation.

People close to a provider, its distribution network or technical operations may notice conduct that deserves independent scrutiny. Separate what you observed from what you suspect, and avoid naming uninvolved people unnecessarily.

What happened?

Record dates, the legal entity, the process or transaction, and your own role or basis of knowledge.

What supports it?

Preserve original records without modifying them. Note which material is first-hand and which came from another person.

What could identify you?

Names, document metadata, account identifiers and unique events can reveal an identity even if no name is entered.

Where should it go?

Choose a suitable official reporting route for urgent or protected disclosures. A private editorial channel is not an authority.

Official route: BaFin · Hinweisgeberstelle ↗ · Consumer complaint distinctions: BaFin · Beschwerden und Hinweise ↗
